Well another year flies by and our numbers have increased by one with the birth of our son Sebastian David. Now 3 months old and doing well he is bringing us both joy and exhaustion in equal measure.
We are once again doing our anniversary special commencing on the 25th Jan and running from Monday evening to Thurs evening for 3 weeks. 2 courses for £10 to be a starter and main course..more details to follow.

It has been a while since we updated the news so here is a condensed version, we got into the AA pub guide as a pick of the pubs, we are also in the forthcoming britains best pubs guide and we also got a readers reccomendation in the 2009 which good food guide.
Sophie is now over two years old and doing very well.
As a celebration of our third year anniversary we are running a two courses for £10 menu which has been extremely popular over the first week it has been running so much so that we are going to run the anniversary menu until the end of March.

Well a year has gone by, how quickly time passes. Sophie is growing rapidly and has brought a new sense of feeling to the globe, everyone has been fantastic she has been spoilt rotten by all of our friends in the village it is most definately a joy to behold. We would like to thank everyone for their support over the last twelve months and hope to see many more people over the next twelve months.

Our first Christmas Day was a great success with all our guests enjoying their five course christmas lunch. We have already had some bookings for next year maybe a new tradition has started?

With our new arrival only a week away we have had a few new team members join us to alleviate some of the work load from adele, i would like to welcome Tom, Kes and Sarah to our team and hope that these three new smiley faces will make everyone feel welcome.

As we strive to get the best possible food and drink for the globe we have updated our wine list and have sourced some truly wonderful wines. My personal favourite is the Estampilla Sauvignon Blanc. We hope you enjoy our wines if you have any requests then please let us know.

I have great pleasure in announcing that our butcher is now S&C Meats of taunton. Steve supplies some great eateries around this area including The Castle Hotel and Bindon House to name a few using only the finest british meat.

The three en-suite letting rooms are proving to be very popular with our visitors with lots of bookings from word of mouth alone, the option of continental breakfast with freshly baked croissants at £5 per person has also proved to be a hit. Perfectly situated between the Quantocks, Brendon and Blackdown hills the Globe is an ideal base for walkers, who at the end of a strenuous days hiking can relax in the bar and sample some of our wonderful cuisine or simply relax with a local ale.

To compliment our ethos at the globe of using the finest local produce we are now using RA Vintners from Dulverton to supply our wines. RA Vintners use small vinyards to source their wines, this allows us to provide fantastic wines to our guests that are not availiable anywhere else within 20 miles. We hope you enjoy our new range of wines and keep an eye out for our 'bin end specials' coming soon.
